Canvas Access

Canvas is JSU's official Learning Management System (LMS).  Current faculty, staff, and students may access Canvas at any time. Students gain access to Canvas courses on the first day of each semester as indicated by the JSU Academic Calendar.

1. Go to the Canvas login page: https://jsu.instructure.com.
2. You are redirected to JSU Single Sign-On.
3. Enter your MyJaxState credentials to sign in. Your MyJaxState credentials consist of a username (not your JSU email address) and password.
4. Click Sign In.
5. DUO Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required much in the same way as that of MyJaxState and GEM/O365.
6. JSU Canvas displays for your account.

Tips:

• You may also click on the Canvas link inside the MyJaxState portal to be taken directly into your Canvas account without logging in again.
• Your Canvas password is the same as your MyJaxState password. To reset your password use the "Reset your MyJaxStatePassword" link on the login page, go to the IT Help Desk Forms page, or contact the Technology Support Center.
