Support Jax State Students By Donating To the Gamecock Market

students at market The Gamecock Market, Jacksonville State University's on-campus resource for providing food and essential items to students in need, is asking the campus community for donations to help replenish important supplies.

Currently, the Market is in need of essential items such as water, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner and protein bars. These necessities play a vital role in supporting students who may be facing food insecurity or financial hardship, ensuring they can focus on their academic success without the added worry of meeting their most fundamental needs.

The Gamecock Market thrives through the generosity of faculty, staff, students, and community supporters. Contributions can be made in a variety of ways. Physical donations are always welcome and can be dropped off in the donation boxes outside the Dean of Students Office on the 4th floor of the TMB, making it convenient for faculty, staff, and students to contribute.

With spring break approaching, not all students will have the opportunity to go home. If you have any non-expired non-perishable foods to donate, the Gamecock Market would gladly appreciate your support in helping to ensure that every student has access to nutritious food during the break.

Groups and individuals interested in organizing donation drives are encouraged to contact the Market at gamecockmarket@jsu.edu for suggestions on items to highlight.

For those who prefer to contribute financially, Jax State employees can set up payroll deductions, making it easy to provide ongoing support. Additionally, online giving through the university's annual campaign offers a convenient way for anyone to make a difference.
