We, the Interfraternity Council, exist to promote the shared interests and values of our member fraternities: leadership, service, brotherhood, and scholarship. We believe in Fraternity and that the shared values of Fraternity drive the IFC to create better communities, better chapters, and better men.

We work to advance the academic mission of Jacksonville State University, to enable fraternal organizations to grow and thrive through collaboration and teamwork, to provide an outlet for self-governance and accountability, and to model and teach ethical leadership. In a spirit of mutual support and betterment, we, the men of the Interfraternity Council, pledge to elevate the Ritual and the values of the member organizations.

The IFC community at JSU is made up of men who want to better their organizations, community, university, and most importantly themselves. There are countless possible benefits, so know that if you are seeking long-lasting and meaningful friendship, opportunities to gain leadership positions amongst campus, and gain connections to future success, joining the IFC is the ideal avenue.

All of our seven IFC organizations participate in open recruitment. Open recruitment means that any prospective member can join one of our IFC recognized organizations at any time. Traditionally, our IFC fraternities will take in new members at the beginning of each new semester but will socialize and recruit potential new members continuously. If you are interested in joining, talk to fellow fraternity men in your classrooms and follow us on our social media pages @JSUFSL. If you are not sure where to start or would like more information, please sign up to receive IFC recruitment information, contact the Associate Dean of Students, or contact one of the IFC Officers listed below.
