JSU to Hold Inaugural Tau Sigma Honor Society Induction Ceremony

04/10/2018

On Monday, April 16, more than 20 students will become the inaugural group of JSU transfer students to be inducted into Tau Sigma, a nationally recognized honor society for transfer students. To be eligible for membership, applicants must be enrolled full time and obtain a 3.5 or higher GPA after their first semester at their transfer institution.

Tau Sigma was incorporated as a non-profit in 1999 with Auburn University being the home of the first chapter in an effort to better serve, recruit and retain transfer students. Since then, the honor society has grown to 175 chapters in universities across the nation.

The Tau Sigma induction ceremony, which is open to the public, starts at 2 p.m. Monday, April 16, in the Theron Montgomery Building Auditorium.
